House Rules and Policies

The following house rules and policies are put into place to insure your pup has the best experience possible. We appreciate your observing and acknowledge that every reservation agrees to the following: 

Boarding Drop off/Pick up

  • Boarding drop off is from 7 AM to 12 PM on weekdays and 9 AM to 12 PM on weekends

  • Check out time is 12 PM on final day

  • Pick up before 3 PM charged for a half day of daycare

  • Pick up after 3 PM charged for a full day of daycare

After/Before Hours Drop off/Pick up

  • After hours drop off/pickup available by reservation for $30 (in addition to Daycare fee).

  • Weekdays 5 AM - 7 AM; 6:30 PM - 8pm

  • Weekends 7 AM - 9 AM; 5:30 PM - 7pm

  • After hours fee includes meal service (we feed your provided food)

  • Dogs left after 8pm are considered boarding and charged a full night boarding fee.

Holidays

2025-2026 Holiday Period

  • Easter: April 18-21

  • Memorial Day: May 23-27

  • Independence Day: July 3-6

  • Labor Day: August 29 – September 2

  • Thanksgiving: November 26-December 1

  • Christmas/New Year’s: December 23, 2025 - January 1, 2026

 

RCD has different policies in place for daycare and boarding during the holiday periods listed above that all clients who book during these times agree to. Please review the policies below. All reservations during this period are subject to these policies.

Day Care During the Holiday Periods

  • Daycare will be closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Day. Daycare reservations are highly recommended throughout the holiday periods. Outside of these dates, drop-ins for daycare are allowed, but space is not guaranteed. 

Holiday Boarding Minimum

  • There is a 2-night minimum for boarding on all holidays

  • There are no minimum nights required for any other dates of boarding

Boarding Prepayment

  • RCD requires 50% prepayment for all non holiday boarding at time of booking

  • Holiday booking requires payment in full at check-in 

Holiday Reservations Confirmation

  • A valid credit card must be on file at the time the reservation is made to confirm a holiday reservation. Any client credit card that declines when prepayments are processed will NOT be guaranteed a space. We will contact clients whose credit card declines when prepayment is charged.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations must be made more than 7 days prior to the board prepayment deadline to receive 100% refund.  

  • Cancellations made within 7 days from the start of the stay forfeit 50% of the boarding fee (we refund 100% of the cost of add-on services you’ve scheduled and prepaid).

  • Cancellations made within the active boarding reservation (i.e. early pick up) are charged full reservation rate. 

Boarding Reservation Changes

  • You may change your reservation and/or cancel it without penalty up to 7 days in advance of the stay. Within 7 days, shortened stays are charged for the full reservation originally booked. 

Thanksgiving, Christmas, & New Years Day

  • We charge a special drop-off/pick-up fee (“lobby fee”) of $25 for anyone needing to drop-off/pick-up on these three days for boarding. 

Daycare cancellations

  • ​Daycare cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance or will be charged a full rate. Same-day daycare cancellations or no-shows are charged full rate. No-shows exceeding 3 occurrences are grounds for expulsion from all RCD programs.
