Rather than being tucked away for the night, boarding guests are woven into our full daytime schedule — group play, enrichment, and one-on-one time — right alongside our regular daycare pack. When the day winds down, each dog has a private space to retreat to, though plenty choose to curl up alongside their new friends instead.
We never leave dogs unsupervised, day or night. A staff member is on-site around the clock, and we cap the size of every group so no dog gets lost in the shuffle — the kind of low-key, watchful care that’s hard to find once group sizes grow.
Because every dog settles differently, we build the stay around them: add a private walk, a solo enrichment session, or a training tune-up, and adjust as needed once we see how your dog takes to boarding.

Boarding Drop Off/Departure
Boarding here isn’t a hand-off and a goodbye — it’s a full day built around a predictable rhythm, with set drop-off and pickup windows and a team that keeps things running smoothly even when the house is full.
We also intentionally cap how many dogs we take in at once, choosing to protect the quality of care over squeezing in extra reservations.
Daily Flow
- Morning Drop Off: between 7:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. on weekdays, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on weekends.
- Morning Departure: between 7:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. on weekdays, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on weekends.
- Dogs picked up after 12:00 p.m. will join our Afternoon Enrichment Daycare Program: 12:00 p.m. – Close (at a charge of $40.00).
- Dogs not picked up by closing will be transitioned back to overnight care and can be picked up the following morning.
Most clients choose morning departure to keep their dog’s routine consistent.

RCD has different policies in place for daycare and boarding during the holiday periods listed above that all clients who book during these times agree to. Please review the policies below. All reservations during this period are subject to these policies.

You may change your reservation and/or cancel it without penalty up to 7 days in advance of the stay. Within 7 days, shortened stays are charged for the full reservation originally booked.
Thanksgiving, Christmas, & New Years Day
We charge a special drop-off/pick-up fee (“lobby fee”) of $25 for anyone needing to drop-off/pick-up on these three days for boarding.
Holiday Boarding Minimum
There is a 2-night minimum for boarding on all holidays. There are no minimum nights required for any other dates of boarding.
Boarding Prepayment
RCD requires 50% prepayment for all non-holiday boarding at time of booking. Holiday booking requires payment in full at check-in.
Holiday Reservations Confirmation
A valid credit card must be on file at the time the reservation is made to confirm a holiday reservation. Any credit card that declines when prepayments are processed will NOT be guaranteed a space. We will contact clients whose credit card declines when prepayment is charged.
Unaltered Dogs Disclaimer:
Unaltered dogs are permitted only in Private Boarding (a Meet & Greet is still required for every dog). Unaltered dogs under 7 months may qualify for cage-free boarding.

Dog Boarding FAQ
What are your regular drop-off and pick-up hours?
Hours are 7 a.m. to noon, Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday and Sunday. Dogs picked up after 12:00pm (noon) will be charged our regular daycare rate.
What if my dog needs to be dropped off early or picked up late?
Boarding is charged on a 24-hour cycle. If you need to drop off early or pick up late, additional daycare time can be scheduled during our regular hours (7 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekends).
What vaccinations are required for boarding?
All dogs must be current on rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella vaccinations. Proof is required before their stay.
Are reservations required?
Yes. Boarding space is limited to maintain our small-batch care standards. We recommend booking early, especially for holidays and weekends.
Can multiple dogs stay in the same suite?
Yes! Dogs from the same household can board together upon request (and as space allows).
What should I bring for my dog’s stay?
Bring your dog’s food (pre-portioned is ideal) and any necessary medications. You’re welcome to bring a favorite blanket or toy—just avoid anything irreplaceable. Rose City Dogs also provides meals for $2 each.
Can you administer medication?
Yes. We can administer any prescribed medication, including injectables.
Can I tour the facility before booking?
Yes, we highly recommend that you tour our facility! This can be done the same day as your Meet and Greet or prearranged for a different day/time.

How to Get to Our Cully Location from Beaverton
From Beaverton, hop on OR-217 N and head toward US-26 E. Stay on US-26 E as it feeds into I-405 N, then continue onto I-5 N, taking exit 305A into Portland. From there, continue on US-30 Bypass/N Lombard St over to NE 42nd Ave — our Cully location is right there at 5224 NE 42nd Ave, about 25 minutes from Beaverton door to door with normal traffic.
